Own and operate a small IT consulting firm, specializing in small business needs. These business needs include providing a vast array of services ranging from server installation and maintenance to procedural documentation and one-on-one user training.

Audio Engineer \ Monitor Engineer

Managing on-stage audio needs in a fast paced, high intensity, live environment. This includes personal audio mix for on stage musicians, vocalists and performers often times having less than 30 minutes to dial in 15-35 individual artists on average. Managing stage teams and performers for sound check. Supervising wireless management campus wide, comprised of over 200 frequency carriers. Recruiting, leading and training audio assistants.
 Key Contributions:
  • Refine many in house processes including sound check and wireless management.
  • Lead the wireless frequency management team. Direct and coordinate all users of wireless technologies on campus.
  • Provide world class monitor mixes for world class performers. This includes Christian headliners such as Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, Charlie Hall, Randy Travis, Delirious, Lincoln Brewster and many others.
  • Provide monitor engineering and technical event planning for major events such as “The Leadership Summit” 2008 (70,000 live via satellite, 40,000 via tape delay), 2007, 2006, 2005; Christmas 2007 (90,000 attenders), 2006, 2005; Easter 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005; and over 800 other conferences and services.
  • Conduct beta testing for Shure, Inc of Niles, Il. This includes the design of their Wireless Workbench 4.x, 5.x software, UHF-R series microphones (flagship), KSM9 microphone (wired and wireless variants), UR1M bodypack transmitters, PSM700 In-ear Monitors Systems, and other products currently in development. Many of my recommendations have been made into devices currently in production.
  • Work on the systems team which provides support of productions back-end systems. This includes TCP/IP network support, video system support and audio system support.

Shure Incorporated, Niles, IL October 2007-Present

Product Development Consultant

Currently involved in a team of six professional audio consultants assisting Shure in the development of their next generation high end professional wireless systems. Many other panelists in this group include high end users in broadcast, Broadway, entertainment and sports. This group focuses on early stages of product development such as user interface planning, physical device ergonomics, system efficiency planning. It also includes late stages of product development: product beta testing, design review and end user feedback.
